Who I Support
I work with all kinds of students. Most are happily settled in mainstream school and simply want extra support to strengthen their English or aim for a higher grade. I also have particular experience supporting learners who may not thrive in a typical classroom setting, including those with SEND, school anxiety, or in alternative provision.
I Have Particular Experience Supporting Students Who Are
- Home educated
- Accessing alternative provision
- Experiencing school anxiety or emotionally based school avoidance
- Struggling with confidence, motivation or engagement
- Neurodivergent or have additional learning needs
- Benefiting from a more personalised pace and approach
SEND-Informed Support
Many of the students I work with have SEND or additional learning needs. I continue to develop my practice through ongoing training and professional development, so that I can better understand and support the individual students I work with.
For me, it's about understanding the student in front of me rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Every student is different, and what works well for one student may not work as well for another.
Sessions can be adapted to suit the individual student, including:
- The pace of learning
- The structure of sessions
- The style of tasks
- How we communicate and explain things
- Building confidence and self-belief
- Creating routines and a sense of predictability

Get in touch and I'd be happy to discuss whether I may be the right fit.
