Mentoring
Some students need more than help with a particular subject. Sometimes they need someone to listen, understand what they're finding difficult and help them find a way forward.
My mentoring support is for students who may be struggling with confidence, motivation, organisation or engagement with learning. We work together to understand what's getting in the way, build practical strategies and, most importantly, help them feel more positive about themselves and their ability to learn.
The aim is to give students the time, space and support they need to make progress, while allowing them to feel heard, understood and more confident in themselves and their learning.
Particularly Suited to Students Who
- Feel overwhelmed by school
- Have low academic confidence
- Struggle to engage consistently
- Need help rebuilding routines and self-belief
- Would benefit from a calm, supportive adult relationship alongside academic support
12-Week Mentoring Programme
I also offer a structured 12-week mentoring programme for students who would benefit from more focused, ongoing support.
The programme is designed to help students build confidence, motivation, routines and self-belief, while developing a more positive approach to learning.
Over the 12 weeks, we work together at a pace that suits the student, focusing on the areas where they need the most support and helping them feel more prepared, confident and ready to learn.
This is a more personalised approach to mentoring and can be particularly helpful for students who need support beyond subject tuition alone.
Mentoring is educational and confidence-based support, and is not a substitute for therapy or specialist mental health intervention.
