A Calm, Personalised Approach
I understand that not every student thrives in a traditional classroom setting. My aim is to create a supportive learning space where students feel safe to ask questions, build confidence and make genuine progress — academically and personally. This can be especially valuable for students who have found school difficult, overwhelming or inconsistent.
Unlike larger tutoring agencies, it's just me — you'll always work directly with me, not a rotating panel of tutors, so we can build a genuine, consistent relationship over time.
"I encourage students to set their own ambitions rather than simply accept a predicted grade. We work towards the grade they believe they can achieve, then build the skills, confidence and understanding needed to keep progressing."

Frequently Asked Questions
What ages and year groups do you work with?
KS2, KS3 and GCSE students, including selected Year 5 and Year 6 students preparing for SATs.
Do you only work with students who are struggling at school?
Not at all. Most students I work with are happily settled in mainstream school and simply want extra support to strengthen their English or aim for a higher grade. I also have particular experience supporting students with SEND, school anxiety, or in alternative provision.
What's the difference between tuition and mentoring?
English Tuition focuses on reading, writing, comprehension, literature and exam preparation. Mentoring is for students who need broader support with confidence, motivation, organisation and their relationship with learning, alongside or separate from subject tuition.
Are sessions online or in-person?
Most sessions are delivered online. For selected students, I can also offer in-person support via a home visit.
How much do sessions cost?
Online tuition is from £45 per session. Mentoring is from £320 per month for a 12-week programme, tailored to the student. In-person support is available for selected students — please enquire.
Are you DBS checked?
Yes — I'm Enhanced DBS checked.
How do I get started?
Get in touch via the contact form or email with a little information about your child, and I'll be in touch to talk things through and see whether I may be the right fit.
Let's talk about what your child needs
If you're unsure which type of support would best suit your child, get in touch and I'd be happy to discuss it with you.
